DOCG Wines in Veneto

DOCG (denominazione di origine controllata e garantita)

There are three wines in our region that received the most important Italian certificate of quality guarantee:
Bardolino Superiore
Soave Superiore
Recioto di Soave

One interesting thing about Recioto wines is that the farmers use the ears of grapes for to make the wine. These are the external parts of the grape ( in local dialect "recie", see the picture) and they are sweeter than the rest
Finally, there are two kind of Recioto: one in Soave that is white and another one in Valpolicella that is red.

You can see how many wines there are in our region. The picture shows the typical areas where vines grow. The names of these areas sometimes are the names of wines that produce there. The name on the label often is the name of grape and another times is an imaginary name.

This is my own blog... You can see one of my favourite hobbies...
Drinking, knowing and understanding are the activities that everyone can try to do when there is a glass of wine.
Only drinking is so plain, bacause there is a little of fable inside everything.

It's no hard to understand wine and there is no need of professional course or something like that. Everybody can understand the wine bacause everyone can smell its smells, taste its tastes and see its colours.

Why did I put this tittle?
Of course, I live in Venetian land and I like our wines but I know there are many many splendid wines in every region of Italy and in every country in the world.
